Debate on Maldives at the House of Commons

There will be a Debate on Maldives at the House of Commons on 14 October 2009. All Maldivians are welcome to visit the House of Commons to watch the debate. No tickets are required to attend this event.

The debate will focus on the difficulties Maldivian Students face when trying to obtain a visa to study in Great Britain and will discuss ways on resolving these issues and mobilize British financial assistance to the Maldives.

The debate has been organized by the UK-Maldives All Party Group with the support of the High Commission of Maldives in Britain, and is open to the public.

All visitors will be subject to security screening at the entrance and will be directed from there.
